Weak foundation, lack of a technical system. There are many single technologies, but less research on related technologies, poor technical support, and no complete technical system has been formed: little research on engineering technology, poor process stability, and a large distance from equipment development needs.
Large gap in the application of digital technology. Foreign countries have achieved practical application levels in model-based design, process simulation, and manufacturing, enabling quantitative visual analysis of liquid precision forming processes. However, China's research and application in this field are still in their infancy.
Low degree of equipment automation, immature engineering technology; for example, in the low-pressure casting technology of complex thin-walled aluminum alloy castings, the degree of automation of domestic equipment is low, and the control progress is insufficient.
Insufficient technological integration: significant progress has been made in single technologies such as anti-gravity casting, rapid prototyping casting, investment casting, and centrifugal casting, but the integration of different technologies is insufficient, and an overall advantage has not yet been formed.
